I drove by the park when Kristen and I visited New Orleans a few years ago. We didn’t know it was permanently closed at the time (although the overgrown former freeway exit leading to it should’ve been a clue). Sad, really.
Six Flags New Orleans was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. It has been abandoned ever since.
This film was made in October 2010 by Teddy Smith. The park is scheduled to be demolished in January 2011.
